Weapons, combat system and new mysteries are all impressive. However, the lack of a multiplayer mode is a downright disappointment. All this publication’s reviews Read full review. Yes, Rogue hardly differs from Black Flag, but it’s just right. Even though it’s a “minor” Assassin’s, it takes the best of the fourth episode and creates a very interesting experience. The visuals could have seen a bigger improvement, but still it’s a good adaptation. PC Gamer. The imperative to cash in on Black Flag is transparent, but as it turns out a location swap works wonders for igniting the hooded pirate in you again.

PC PowerPlay. It’s a fitting coda to the “Colonial America” story arc that should satisfy hardcore fans. All this publication’s reviews. Rogue is following the footsteps of pirate Black Flag, whose fans will enjoy almost the same gameplay. PC conversion is perfectly optimized indeed, but visually it loses enough already, plus control may not suit everyone.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is Black Flag with worse writing and broadly improved missions. Does very little to alter the formula, but is about as mechanically sound as Assassin’s Creed gets and runs well on PC.

Vsync is this time working as intended. And A better Black Flag with slightly worse graphics but greater story without filler missions. And generally is a good pc port.

Game-play is similar to AC 4: Black Flag. Recommended to fans of the series. Totally awesome i loved all of it, it had a few techinal issues where the PC did froze, but that was ist pretty much, the only totally Totally awesome i loved all of it, it had a few techinal issues where the PC did froze, but that was ist pretty much, the only totally annoying thing is that in order to finish the other stuff in the game after you finished the story you are forced to watch the endtrailer and you cant skip that bugger which runs for a full blown 25 minutes.

A have very mixed feelings about this game. The story is good and interesting, seeing the world from Templar perspective shows that everything A have very mixed feelings about this game.

The story is good and interesting, seeing the world from Templar perspective shows that everything is not so black and white added some depth to the series that usually tended to be completely one sided. But unfortunately the main moments in game lack significance, the bond with Assassins is not made strong enough in the first part of a game and assassinating them later does not bring any strong emotions.

That’s one of the main issues with the game, all previous parts were causing strong emotions in main moments, this one doesn’t. All of this betrayal is not used well enough, it should feel much more intensive than it does. Fights with Assassins are not very well done either, most of them are just running around and repeating the same sentence over and over.

All the other enemies you fight are also closer to be comical than serious. Visually and technically the game is also a huge downgrade from Black Flag, textures are poor, LOD is extremely low, soundtrack is not in sync with what is going on. World doesn’t seem to be too interesting either, Black Flag made me want to explore and discover and it was taking me ages to go from point A to point B because this is how much I got into side activities on the way, Rogue doesn’t make me want to do anything other than following the main story.

Abstergo story is extremely dull and annoying, another point of downgrade from Black Flag where it wasn’t bad. Overall the game is good and has its moments, but taken as a whole this is a huge downgrade from Black Flag, the game feel insignificant despite the intensive happenings in the story, it does not bring any emotions, setting and the world is not that interesting, game just feels average, especially after Black Flag, maybe it would be more appealing if it was released before BF so it wouldn’t feel like a downgrade from previous part.

It would get an 8 if it was more polished and better looking, but how everything is downgraded from previous part is just too visible. AC Rogue is basically a worse, reskined and down-sized version of Black Flag. And the “reskined” portion is probably the best thing about AC Rogue is basically a worse, reskined and down-sized version of Black Flag. And the “reskined” portion is probably the best thing about Rouge – the new kinda setting really breathes new life into this game compared to it’s older brother.

It’s just fun to cut through ice, land on snow-covered little islands, climb that templar-armor-ship in the middle of nowhere. But the thing with AC4 is that, without it’s story, characters and romance of the pirate life, every part of the game becomes worse.

The shallow combat, the glitchy parkour, the boring missions – it’s all the more noticable, though it’s much the same. All the bad parts of Black Flag were held together by it’s narrative and setting, and by perserving the bad and replacing the good with a boring lazy narrative, Rogue becomes infinitely worse and less worthy of attention than it’s predecessor.

Stupid buggy game. Can’t finish the campaign because of it. Do not buy this game. Play Video. Assassin’s Creed Rogue – Announcement Trailer. Assassin’s Creed Rogue – Story Trailer. Essential Links.
